Smuggler's Run

Smuggler's Run is a minimalist space adventure game, where you, the player, are an unlicensed space trader, flying cargo from planet to planet while trying not to be blown to pieces by bounty hunters, imperial forces or rebel do-gooders.

This game is not meant to be played on a small mobile screen.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.

Features

• simple d6 based mechanics
• travel a random generated space map with 15 unique planets
• battle enemy ships
• earn credits by safely reaching planets or defeating enemy ships
• repair your damaged ship at a spaceport

Roadmap (for future releases)

• add sound effects
• more complex loot and trading mechanic
• buy new ships and hire crew
• meet famous characters

Smuggler's Run is based in part on the light weight 2d6 game system Tunnel Goons which is released under a Creative Commons 4.0 International License.
